Launches Inter Society League Sports
Hyderabad, Jan 10 (): The Deputy Chief Minister, Kadiam Srihari today said that 8000 teachers posts will be filled in the Residential Institutions and they will join duties in one month time. The process is on to fill up the residential teach posts he said while inaugurating a Inter Society Sports League matches at Gachibowli stadium here. Srihari expressed hope that the poor, BC, SC and ST students will outshine others in sports and games if encouraged. He praised the state students for showing better performance in education and sports. About 2000 students from 5 Educational Societies are participating in the event being conducted on the lines of Asian Games, Olympic Games – 2018. Srihari called upon the students to make use of the facilities in the schools and get better results to bring name to the state and the nation and fill lights in their families. He offered Rs 10000 to a team of students for their welcome parade.
Sirhari said that Rs 1.02 lakh being spent on every student in residential schools and about 8 lakhs students belonging to poor families of Minorities, SC, ST and BC are studying in the 546 Residential Schools, 475 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, 194 Model Schools. The standards are on the lines of corporate schools he claimed. He also said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for encouraging them with ample opportunities to excel. We encourage the students to participate in sports from village level to state level. Those present were Telangana Sports Authority Chairman, Venkateshwar Reddy, Social Welfare department Residential School, Secretary, R.S. Praveen Kumar and others.
