World Telugu Conference on grand scale, says CM


The five-day World Telugu Conference (WTC) should be conducted in a grand manner with LB Stadium being main place, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said. Holding a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan with ministers and officials he asked that conclave should focus on giving top priority to literature, language and those contributed for flourishing Telugu. Welcome the delegates and invitees with complete respect and provide better accommodation, food and facilities he said.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Governors ESL Narasimhan, Ch Vidyasagar Rao will attend the inaugural on Dec 15 and President Ramnath Kovind on last day Dec 19 he said. As soon as Venkaiah announces the conclave opened entire stadium should reverberate with fire crackers he said. About 13 Gnanpeeth awardees and others will be felicitated in a grand manner. The event is multi faceted and every care should be taken to avoid inconvenience or shortfall of facilities. Cultural programs, with Sanskrithika Sarathi on first day, should be conducted for five days at the stadium to enthrall the audiences.
