Hyderabad Dec 13 (): Irrigation and Marketing Minister T Harish Rao has reprimanded marketing officials for delay in payments to farmers after procuring maize at Shadnagar market. He attended in some development works and inspected works at the market.  Harish expressed displeasure at the officials for paying nly Rs 66 lakhs against Rs 4.83 cr worth maize procured from the farmers. Serious action will be taken if the officials failed to make all payments to the farmers in just three days. Harish Rao asked to take action against marketing, cooperative and Markfed staff for negligence and an inquiry and cut increment of market committee secretary. Harish Rao started a red gram purchase center and laid foundation for Rs 4 cr worth development works at the market on the occasion. He said that 111 red gram purchase centers were opened and procured Rs 284 cr worth maize and still to pay Rs 100 cr.
